Laser Skin Treatment in Melbourne

Coolsculpting

The CoolSculpting® procedure uses non-invasive technology-(Cryolipolysis) by delivering controlled cooling to the surface of the skin to break down fat cells that are just beneath the skin.

This treatment is TGA approved and with over 5 million treatments performed worldwide, clinical studies have shown that the CoolSculpting procedure can break down fat cells to change the appearance of visibly localized bulges of fat that is just beneath the skin on the abdomen, thighs, flanks and submental (chin) area.

IS COOLSCULPT RIGHT FOR ME?

A thorough consultation is required first to see if you are a suitable candidate for a coolsculpting treatment. The treatment areas will be carefully measured and marked out. You must have at least 2cm of pinchable fat thickness in the area to be treated – abdomen, hips or outer thighs. Your overall health needs to be good, your BMI (body mass index) should be equal to or less than 30. You must also have realistic expectations of the results you’re likely to achieve.

WHAT DOES THE TREATMENT INVOLVE?

Firstly your therapist will apply a gel pad to the treatment area. Next the applicator will be placed over the top of the gel pad; suction and cooling will begin. The session will take 35 minutes per zone; which is measured as one CYCLE. Most abdomens will require a total of four cycles. Little to no discomfort will be felt during this time so kick back and relax! After the treatment your therapist will gently massage the treated area in order to accelerate the lymphatic drainage process and the elimination of fat cells. You can then resume normal activities.

WHAT RESULTS CAN I EXPECT?

There are no immediate results, as the fat cells are gradually eliminated by the immune system. You will begin to see results at about 6- 10 weeks after the treatment and will continue to lose fat in the treated area during the following months. As this treatment body contouring treatment, most see an overall improvement in shape and tone of the treated areas.
