PDO Thread Lifts

PDO thread lifts are a safe, effective, biocompatible, and dissolvable suture composed of “polydioxanone” a complex sugar often used in orthopaedic and cardiovascular surgeries to suture wounds and incisions. ARE PDO THREAD LIFTS RIGHT FOR ME?

Thread Lift is recommended for both men and women over the age of 30 who are showing signs of ageing, but do not want undergo an invasive surgical procedure such as a facelift.

For optimal results, the ideal candidate should have a skin layer that is not too thin or thick and not extremely uneven. The skin should be thin enough so MINT PDO can make a visible difference and thick enough so the threads are not too close to the surface of the skin.

WHAT DOES A PDO THREAD LIFT TREATMENT INVOLVE?

Your practitioner may apply topical anesthetic cream and/or small injections of local anesthetic to the area being treated, then the thread is placed under the skin. This is usually done through a small incision or with a fine needle.

Once the thread is in place, slight compression of the treatment area is performed to reshape it by hand and to obtain the desired lifting effect and skin tightening.

The treatment takes approximately 30-60 minutes.

WHAT RESULTS CAN I EXPECT - INTERVALS?

Mint PDO results are immediate. You do not have to wait weeks and months to see results. Swelling bruising and some discomfort is normal after the treatment. You may experience some twinging, tight, pulling feeling in treated areas for up to 2 weeks post procedure.

The mono insertion provides a visible tightening effect whilst stimulating our natural collagen production within the skin. Mild bruising, swelling and small lumps can occur immediately post treatment, which are normal reactions to this treatment and should resolve within 2 weeks. (LED light therapy can be used immediately post to assist in reduction of bruising.)

WHAT RESULTS CAN I EXPECT - INTERVALS?

Results can be seen immediately and will continue to improve over time. The full results can be seen around 6-12 weeks post procedure and will last approximately 12 months, but this can vary depending on the individual.
