Bio-remodelling, or skin booster injections, is a relatively new procedure on the Australian market. Europe and the UK have been benefiting from these treatments since 2015 and the results speak for themselves.

Bio-remodelling injections improve skin quality and firmness while promoting the remodelling of ageing, crepey, lax or sagging skin tissue. They are commonly used to treat ageing-prone areas such as the face, neck, decolletage or back of the hands. In this post, Dr Tass Cosmetic and Skincare Clinics discusses non surgical face lifts through bio-remodelling, which are available from our experts.

What Is a Bio-Remodelling Injection?

Bio-remodelling injections are made from hyaluronic acid, the same essential element as most dermal fillers. These injections stimulate the production of collagen and elastin rather than filling the face.

Bio-remodelling injections are a specific formulation of hyaluronic acid, which is targeted to stimulate collagen and elastin in the skin, improving skin quality and assisting in preventing and reducing skin ageing as the natural collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acids in our skin deplete over time.

How do Bio-Remodelling Treatments Work?

Bio-remodelling or ‘skin boosters’ are injected into various skin points at a superficial level. After injection, the specially formulated hyaluronic acid treatment spreads like honey over a large surface area.

Bio-remodelling works to hydrate the skin and has been scientifically shown to improve wound healing and the production of both type I and III collagen, resulting in smoother, firmer, tighter and younger-looking skin whilst slowing skin ageing. These injections do not fill or create volume in one specific area like dermal fillers. Still, bio-remodelling can be safely used with facial fillers and anti wrinkle injections.

What are the Benefits of Bio-Remodelling?

Bio-remodelling is for anyone who has noticed mild wrinkles, dull skin, loss of elasticity, hydration and skin laxity; many of which become noticeable around the age of 30. This treatment is a way of addressing underlying changes in your skin and is highly likely to result in a lower frequency of needing dermal fillers.

Bio-remodelling is a minimally invasive treatment that stimulates elastin production and collagen production to help the dermis and epidermis support the upper layers of skin, improving skin laxity, firmness and elasticity. The hyaluronic acid hydrates the skin from the inside, improving texture and tone. Regular use of bio-remodelling will not add to facial volume or leave you with an over-filled look.
